i just picked up a 145mph gauge cluster, and i'm putting white faces with red letters. i'd also like to paint the needles. i was thinking of painting the circles red, and the needles black or leave the circles black and painting the needles red. would testors model paint work fine, or should i use something else?

I painted the ones on my RS with Testors several months ago, and so far they look great. I painted the ones in my Z28 with flourescent orange spray to match all the needles of the aftermarket gauges I have in the car, and they look good too, so I guess it doesn't much. The way the dash pad protrudes over the gauge cluster in our cars keeps most of the sunlight off the gauges anyway.
