The first two are actually my idea the last two are my wifes idea that i like and made it even much harder for me to decided lol
I have satin black wheels
1. White "Black Decals"
2. Metallic Blue "Black or White Decals"
3. Metallic Gunmetal "Blue or Yellow Decals
4. Yellow Calipers "Silver Decals" and will add IrocZ stripe kit Silver/Yellow
Thanks Zach

Re: Opinion on brake caliper color
I wouldn't do white powdercoat, even though powdercoat is generally easier to clean and keep clean, brake dust is going to show up a lot worse on white.
What about gold? Also keep in mind you may be limited to metallic colors, you might want to talk to the local person that's going to do it and see what their available colors are before you get your heart set on one. I thought it was going to be super easy to come up with a metallic blue that matched my car but found out the hard way that you can't just mix in metallic filler with powder. It took a few weeks to find a color that worked and in fact that color was a candy base coat with a sparkle blue that had to have 3 top coats over the candy to come out the right shade.

i was also thinking of painting intake and valve covers pearl white and gold or bronze fuel rail, coil bracket etc etc
what ever color i use i want to incorporate it into the engine bay theres a method to the madness lol
i was thinking the same thing about the white hard to clean lol my camaro was my daily drive and im building it as such but it does look nice tho lol also the yellow would be hard to clean also
yea local shops have the colors im looking for

White would be hard to keep clean.
How about charcoal, it will show up behind the black wheel, but not take away from the rest of the car.

I choose option 3 with the blue decal. You can never go wrong with gunmetal.
Although just for simplicity I'd do black if it were my car, but I think gunmetal would look good.

Re: Opinion on brake caliper color
i know all options will look good .. its just choosing thats the hard part and if ive seen it done then i steer away from it ... not because it looks bad .. i like to try to be different but thats hard since anything and everything has been done too these cars lol

Re: Opinion on brake caliper color
Still need decals and clear coat and done
Got new rotors and pads
What you guys think I suck painting hopefully it will look good on my milk bucket
After talking with wife and thinking I decided to go with gold as its not common "red, black" well at least on f body's I haven't seen gold on thirdgen but i haven't search but who knows and would be fairly easy to maintain and found a pic i saved awhile back of ls1 engine with gold/black here and there on also i only needed one can so it would be easy to do a touch up if needed and seen a white gtr with gold brembos and realized how much I loved it
Blue would of been a pain at least 4 layers and more expensive and hard to match or even do a touch up
Yellow would of been hard to maintain and realize it was out there but would of been nice maybe in future when I repaint car Arctic white
White would just be a pain to maintain
There where many other colors I thought of lol

Re: Opinion on brake caliper color
yea me too they didnt sell the clearcoat locally so i had to order it online whick kinda sucks cause i had to pay more for shipping then the cost of the can lol Decals and paint should be here today or tommorrow hopfully today so i can cure it in the oven and let it dry over the weekend
total cost belive it or not is $30ish or so only used 1 can primer and 1 can paint then can clear and decals
could of powdercoat but rather spend money else where new rotors and pads all arounds and lsx parts so
Bluezee reminded me of the gold color ..which was in back of my head that i forgot about and i looked back in my folder of many pics of cars i save when searching online.. how good it looks and many trips to the paint store
its not exact color match to the brembo gold but its close to me and i like it more once i layed down the paint
