June COTM 2013 **VOTING**
There is no doubt that this month got all messed up to say the least. I enjoy taking my personal time to highlight and put together this COTM program and plan on continuing with it. There is obvious changes that need to me made for this to work better, or work with less potential issues between any members idea of right and wrong.
I want to apologize to every member here that was a part of this month COTM program, whether it be voting, or nomination, or nominee. It take the members for this style of a program to work. I want to say that I feel like this month has been tarnished enough that I feel that we need to start over, and I will be closing this months COTM thread, and deleting it in the near future.
I am at this time unsure if there will be a COTM as everyone has become used too for July, so again I apologize, knowing that there is many of you that look forward to this program and use the cars as inspiration for what ever inspiration you may be needing at the time. I will make sure, and I'm sure JT will be happy to help me get the word out when the program is back up and running... again I'm not going anywhere on this program
To the members of the NYTG. I'm sure you are all great guys, and I'm sure in the real world we could be friends, drink beer, and talk cars. I didn't intend on picking on you guys, and never want to trash the name of your club.
As JT had said let's get back to talking, posting, and enjoying all these third gens that brought us all here in the first place.

87350IROC for me, I have a soft spot for originality.
The slammed look and the mudflaps are also pretty awesome.

For those who don't know here is some info on the car, pics to fallow later on.
It's a 87 Iroc. Got it stock for 900$. And now I have this thing I created. All work was done by me. No shops or paying people.
Motor is 355 forged and built for boost, Vic jr heads n intake with Prosystems 950cfm carb. Custom one off turbo setup with a S475 Borg Warner turbo at 10psi. Makes mid 6s to the tire. Full lenght 4" single exhaust system. Stage 3 ck performance 700r4 chrome Molly driveshaft and a ford 9" rear. Full tubular suspension front and back, custom one off blue mined by me, see through lexan hood inserts done by me, full auto meter dash, custom seats n door panels and suade interior. Pretty much everything on the car I redone or made my own in some way. Any questions feel free to ask.

Good luck John, (87350IROC) I use your car as my inspiration. Your attention to detail is incredible. I hope people take the time to look up in detail what you've done, brakes, sound system, cable and wire covers, motor and tranny work etc..

my favorite idea John's had is the way he did all his cable wraps. Even the color coded battery cables, spark plug wires etc. I love the "stock" look of the IROC but inside, and underneath you know there is something special.

I have a hard time voting for a car from NYThirdGen, no matter how cool it is, after the negative comments I saw on their website when iansane won last month and their buddy 1320B4U lost.

Luckily I did not witness those statements. I went back to the May COTM Winner page and they must have been deleted, as all posts were of good intentions.
BlueZee28 is a trustworthy and friendly member, so they must have been pretty mean for him to say this. I have no doubt in my mind that he is telling the truth.

(originally posted by .seriousgearhead.) This is bullshit, I don't care if that other guy has an LS under the hood. Dave's car is cleaner, straighter and has more character. There is no reason why Dave should lose this, with our listed membership it should have been a landslide.
The other car looks like a damn Corvette wannabe. Complete with the stupid vag stripes on the fender.
If anybody shows up to the WNY meet and didn't vote for Dave's car but could have, don't fall asleep before me.

That guy posted a stupid comment on the NY site I agree. It was just one guy who got a little carried away. I've been a member on TGO for 10 years and on this forum for 3 years before even joining. I've also been on the NY site since it started. If I blamed an entire site for the comments of a few members I wouldn't be on here or there.
I say just vote for the car you like most lets not get side tracked here. Good luck to all the guys/cars this month!

So.. the point of this is what? 1 member posted his OPINION about how he felt another car should win... so he didn't like that car... so many others have post the same in this thread and every other thread like it... we aren't being cocky. He just expressed his opinion... different strokes for different folks... to each their own..
