Touch-up Paint?
Touch-up Paint?
Had a little mishap with my car tonight, cracked the paint on the bumper to where it cracks off and you see the black plastic underneath. Is there a "home-fix" to this using touch up paint, or is this a body-shop fix?

Erik backed into something me thinks
Seriously though, sand it down around the damage, prime it, and use color matched paint and some clear coat. And there you go brand new again.
edit: just read the post on poorformance but am not going to bother to post again.

Yeah, you gotta be careful when you use touch up paint...real easy to screw up...
I have a white IROC-Z, and it had a few little chips in the paint from years of driving, and I was very careful applying touch up. It has a tendancy to "bubble" when you apply it because you are using a brush... as opposed to spraying it on.
Be sure to use very light dabs, and use as little paint as possible to cover the chip. It's not perfect, but you can't notice it from more than a couple feet away during the day, and it's invisible at night.
