Engine bay detailing

Hey guys

Was wondering what and how every details theirs bays. I'm not about to through degreaser all over and then spray it down with water so I'm looking for some insight as to how you guys do it.

Being that the engine in my car isn't that old, I usually just give it a good pressure washing, let it dry, then hand detail all the black plastics and hoses. I usually don't detail under the hood until I'm at the show or event. I use Meguiars ultimate detailer for the outside as well as under the hood. I absolutely love that stuff! Anyway, that's just how I do it. I don't need to use degreaser or anything like that. Under my hood is usually good and clean. You can see how clean it is in the walk around video I posted a little while ago.

But I follow the wash drying everything with my air hose or leaf blower, this reduces water spots then a wipe down with Turtle wax Ice detailer.....

Agreed! I give most of the stuff a quick wipe down to avoid water spots, but even so, I let it air dry mostly. The it's ultimate detailer time! There's nothing sexier than rolling into a show with an engine bay that's just as clean as the outside. I love the "wow" factor when people see how clean the engine bay is.

after every wash i get into the motor..damp rag(dont need degreaser,if its kept up)..but then i spray Chemical Guys Silk Shine..Its my secret..and makes it all look new..great on show days..
