Just for laughs....I know we all can't wait till spring. I know I'm getting stir crazy to drive my car. Post your winter humor pics too if you want to!

Florida had it's coldest day yesterday for 2014/2015 winter...
It was 36 degrees early Friday morning in the AM in Tampa Bay Florida...
I noticed we were 10 degrees colder than Seattle Washington, which stays quite a bit warmer than most placed mid and eastern US...
I hope the warm weather comes soon for ya...
I'm sure I'll be dying of heat and humidity here in FL soon enough....

We're having a record year of cold with snow accumulation here, it's been colder on average with a pretty decent amount of snow, usually when it's this cold it doesn't snow much... I have a few days worth of work to do on the car but it's been so cold here the small space heater doesn't warm the garage above freezing.
Can't wait to have a dedicated shop with a real heat source (and a lift). I have at least 2 months until the car will see the streets.

I grew up in the Miami/Ft Lauderale area. I never really miss it until this time of year. You and Manta have it worse than me here, but the temps have been brutal.
Just finished my 4th time shoveling the driveway. Temps are slowly rising, and it's supposed to be a pretty nice day. Hope it melts all this snow. We got about 6+ inches yesterday. On top of the 2-4 we already had on the ground. All I keep telling myself is I only have 18 days till a kid free vacation in the Bahamas with the wife. 8 nights of warm, tropical weather, and no snow shovels!!!
We haven't had a lot of snow this winter in KC, but we have had many small snow/ice events. The frustrating result is the roads are clear, but the shoulders of roads are white with salt. When you drive behind anyone a white puff of salt flies through the air. On a beautiful day with no snow anywhere in a clean truck, within 5 miles I can see the salt sticking to it. All I need is a good rain and enough time for the water to dry, and I can drive her again. The current forcast calls for snow chances every 3rd day or so. Come on spring "I need" my formula fix!!!!
The grass is always greener...
Though it's great driving weather in FL, my Formula is in need of work
I got a lot of wiring to do (some in cabin stock stuff, and a lot of stereo / car PC stuff...) Then interior (seats / door panels / plastics) then Paint... Hopefully December 2015
I'm always trying to convince my friend from upstate NY to come down when it's too cold and help me out with my bird.... He doesn't like to fly... Like BA Baracus!

Mine needs a new alternator, but that's a quick fix when the time is right. I need to fix the headliner and some minor engine tuneup work this summer. Next year paint.
I have gone to spring training in Phoenix 3 years in a row, but not this year. Obligations. The wife doesn't want to go next year, so I can drive the Bird there then. I'll get an early reprieve.

Yeah, they called for 1" when I looked at the forecast last night. There was at least 10. Not putting the shovel away any time soon.

Sorry to all the snowbound folks, 2 years ago KC got its last snow May 1st. This year things are different. The snow is now gone. Starting tomorrow temps 50+ up to 80 next weekend. My Bird gets back on the road this weekend.
I got a taste driving it around town Monday and Tuesday, but a small snowstorm Wednesday stopped that. We got lucky this year. Tomorrow I hit the Highway.

80,WE AINT SEEN 80 since August
Come on SPRING

Come on SPRING
80 is unusual for us this time of year too. It won't last. It will probably still snow once more, But for at least the next week or two it looks great.

The only time we had snow were a few flakes on Christmas morning here in town. No snow cover at all this winter and its going to be in the low 70s this weekend. I love it! But we need rain bad here.

Starting next year I will be spending more and more of my winters where there is no snow.
Funny, when I was young growing up in Iowa, I loved the snow and winter. Skiing, snowmobiles and ramming large snow piles with a 1960's International 1 ton truck. That is until we challenged a pile with an equally impressive 4 ft tall reinforced concrete drain cover at 45mph. We were fine, the concrete drain was fine minus a chip or two, but the truck....not so much
Skiing takes too much time to recover from and I stopped snowmobiling after the second time I flipped one.
Besides driving my Bird around my favorite curves at high speed is much more fun.

Just had another 6 inches of snow on Thursday and a good coating of ice on Wednesday...I'm sick of this crap...I just want it to be spring so I can work on my car and drive it!

Where I'm from, we shovel the driveway daily. I've been through 10 gallons of gas for the snowblower. Good thing it gets better mileage than the Zed 28.
Ahhhhh.....Today I got my first real Bird fix since November. Traffic was slow and numerous. I couldn't really open her up but....it was great being behind the wheel again on the open road!

O'Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!Springs in the air

I'm west of most of you guys, and west of me is nothing but warm air. I will send as much as I can your way. Although I hope not too much. There's a lot of snow and ice to melt and I imagine flooding in some places.

Almost time to let the Boys out
How much snow is left on the ground there in NJ?
Nice garage. Wish I had a usable one. The wife and I went small and manageable as we move into retirement. We have a garage but I own nothing small enough that fits in it.

Nothing on the streets, just wet and salt, about 5-8 in. of snow on the lawns and shoulders.
Today its 70 here in KC. It shouldn't take long to melt once this air gets your way. Their talking about at least another week of 60 - 80 degrees. The warm air coming your way should be constant and last for a while.

That's why I don't mind the rain in the forecast. Hopefully will be good and steady for a while and wash this mess off.Rain is whats missing for us. Still some salt around, but its dry and I can wash the car now.
May be too much of a good thing here. This melt off and the rain will case some flooding. I'm safe though. If it floods on this hill it's time to start building an arc.
This is my first day off since the weather changed. Today the Bird gets its first wash and cleaning of the year. Oil change and some other repairs tomorrow.
So for me "SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!"
Hope to see the rest of you on the road soon!

Finally some warm weather here too. It was 57 degrees here today. I leave for vacation on Friday, and hopefully by the time I get back on the 21st, I'll be able to pull the IROC out, fill her up with a full tank of 93 and take a spin! Then it's off to paint in April for preparations for show season!
