Where can I get aftermarket center caps for stock IROC wheels?
Where can I get aftermarket center caps for stock IROC wheels?
I have some stock 16" IROC wheels and I want to get some aftermarket black center caps. I actually got a set with the wheels, but two of them fell off because my dust caps are loose.
I can find the stock center caps, and a chrome aftermarket one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Velocity-U2-Tyfun-Iroc-center-cap-chrome-Wheel-Hub-Cover-Part-CC422-2P-/251859667729?hash=item3aa4018b11&vxp=mtr), but not a black one. I guess I could get the stock ones vinyl wrapped, but that seems like it would be overly expensive. Plus I really like these aftermarket ones I have, but they don't have a part number or brand on them.
I have measured the diameter they need to be, but I can't find anywhere that will let me enter those measurements. Everywhere just wants to know what the stock part number is. They don't seem to have too many aftermarket or generic center caps.

Yeah I suppose, it just seems like that would be overly expensive. But yeah, I might just put black vinyl wrap over the stock ones, since they're kinda beat up anyway, so not sure if anyone would buy them.
I really like the aftermarket ones too, they're flat instead of round. I'll take a picture of the ones I still have, when I get a chance

What do you consider overly expensive?
If you have something made, there are usually minimums.
I personally wouldn't put vinyl on them.
So you prefer domed over the flat?
I've made medallions from various metals in both and they can be powder coated or polished.
I made them is composite materials also. This method incorporates the color in the material, so there isn't the concern of it scratching off, and the colors are unlimited with this method. It can also be flat or domed.
Either method can be engraved with any design imaginable, if that is something a person likes/wants.
A good machine shop should be able to cut them, and a powder coater can give you your finish, in the color you want.
