How to keep glass film free

I've noticed my brother's car has windows that don't get dirty easily, and don't get that film on them. His car is a 2004 Saturn Vue. All original glass. Mines a 1991 Camaro RS. I've had my windshield replaced 4 years ago,and his still looks brand new. He leaves it outside, and mines inside. I've asked why his glass is like that, but he has no idea. Does anybody know why that is? Cause I wanna try and do it to my glass.

Which brand of windshield did you get? If I'm not mistaken, the factory GM glass is made by Pilkington Glass.

Are you talking about dirt on the outside or inside (plastic gas haze)? RainX may help for outside.
