Help me find NEW 3rd Gen wiper brackets

Where can find a new set of old-style wipers that came factory on our Camaros?(just need the metal brackets and rubber/silicone blades, not the wiper arms).

I know Trico used to sell them, but seems like no more. I can't find a set online and none of the 3rd gen aftermarket shops seem to have them either, unless I'm missing something.

One of mine is in bad shape, and the other is an old Trico replacement and doesn't quite match. I'd like to find a new set, or a good condition old set to strip and repaint (and then find some refill blades).

Help!

Bracket? You mean the metal part that holds the rubber squeegee?

The metal part and the rubber squeegee is commonly called the "blade".

The squeegee is commonly called the "refill".

You should be able to find either at the local auto parts store.

I have found that current old school blades sit a bit higher than the originals. I've forgotten what brand blades they are, but the center attachment point with the arm barely clears the back edge of the hood.

I live in a small town, so my choices are a really tiny Napa Auto or O'Reilly's, and that's it. Neither outfit carries the old style.

Does anyone have a part number so I can try to find a set online?

I used to have a bunch of the frames like you are talking about. They were good, so I kept a bunch. That was back when they sold the blade refills by themselves. But the blade refills lacked the wire support around the rubber blades, and they were just made of plastic and flexed, so I wound up always buying the Tricos in the metal frames. I since threw a bunch out thinking they were a dime a dozen.

I know what you mean, 2 of the 3 brands of blades they sell just have the triangular plastic on top of the rubber blades, THEY DON"T FLEX ONE BIT and won't stay flat against the passenger side window because they don't flex enough. NEVER again will I buy those!
