So I'm thinking about trying to go to the trans am nationals in a few weeks, but I have a couple of questions, 1- is anyone here going? 2- I know you have to pay to enter your car in the competition but can you go and just show off? 3- is the the right place for this thread?

1. I’m going, it’s a great time.
2. Not at the show. Tipp City is free for the cruise in. Get there early if you want a good spot.
3. Who knows? For years I posted this all over the forum and not much interest, to be blunt. One time I even tried organizing a forum get together at the show, lots of folks said they’d be there and when the time came, I was the only one. Oh well, I just had a lot of extra beer for me!
Hope you go, it’s a fun weekend and on my annual ‘must attend’ list!

Been there a few times. Pretty cool show. Never been to the Tipp City Cruise tho. That sounds like it might be even better than the show itself. I try to go every few years. Its a long 4 hour drive from Pittsburgh.

Yea it's a great time!!! Awsome cars and awsome people. Doesn't matter what shape your cars in, it'll get respect. Being 70 miles from the show it's almost criminal if you don't go, lol. I heard as of now (Aug 12 - 10pm) pre registered # is 360, so they will be nicely into the 400's for the show!!!!!
You will see some beautiful rides, and make some great friends. Every year is a blur for me now, I think this is 27 for me. WOW, the time has raced by.
Only bad part about the weekend is just that, it goes by so fast. Always bummed Sunday evening cause it's over for another year.
Go.

so its decided, im gonna be there, guess I gotta take the car out a little more to see if it will make the ride, I don't see why I wont but that will be the longest drive since i've had her.
I'll be there, with no car though..Always a great time

For those who didn’t make it this year, I think it was the best ever.
We couldn’t have asked for better weather! Both days were beautiful, about 80, no humidity, light breeze, and clear skies.
I heard through the the rumor mill it was a record year for the number of cars at the show. It certainly was for Tipp City!
Tip City was fantastic-the streets were packed with cars and for the first time ever, they had to use the church parking lot for overflow.
The shirt for this year was awesome IMO. Well designed incorporating all the Anniversary Trans Ams into the shows 35th Anniversary.
It was nice to meet TTOP350 at the show and look at his TRam-been 20 or 25 years since I saw one.
The cars at the show were great as always. The 3rd Gen was well represented with outstanding examples in all the classes.
Lots of rare cars cars this year also-how about a hard top/leather TTA, 76 455/4spd Pontiac Anniversary car, or SD-455 cars?
Great time as always, if you don’t go next year you’re missing out on a great show/time.

It was a great show. Weather, cars and all. I recommend it to all Firebird owners in the future.
I posted some pictures STARTING HERE.
