ATTN: Powermite and Scauffiel!!!

I am interested in putting 18" wheels on the rear of my 89 GTA and I understand you guys have them currently on your cars. I wanted to know what problems you have run into and how wide are your wheels and tires? I have heard from Hotchkis that someone they have seen in their shop had 315/35/17's under the rear of their Third Gen so my real question is what will it take to stuff functional 295/30/18's under a Third Gen? Is it possible without to much nip and tuck? Thanks in advanced for your help.

Damn dude, sorry about that, must've missed your post... Anyways, I'm running 275's on my 18"x10" rear rims and, because of the adapters I have to use they kind of stick out a bit. Eventually I'll get the adapters in to have them shaved down a bit. I've read of guys getting 295's (IIRC even 315's) to fit without too much modding. I rolled the fender lip up, because I occasionally scrape on deep dips but other than that, you shouldn't have too many problems. I think Andris Skulte is running 295's on the rear, you should ask him (email him directly in case he misses the post_ - you can find "askulte" hanging out on the "Power Adder" board - he's the guy with the Twin Turbo Z28...

The biggie is making sure your backspacing is correct. So no matter what, make sure you have that down before ordering.
