I Hate T-top Headliners

Can anyone help me out with a headliner, maybe have one laying around (black), or have any repair remedies for them, so I can have it not flap in the wind in the mean-time until I find a replacement one. I really dont want to pay 140 bucks for an "I" shaped piece of fabric and cardboard.

thanks for any help you guys can give me

Yes I want to know the same things. I tried to repair mine with new fabric, it didn't come out very nice. You need fabric that stretches so it will conform to the shape and curvature of the headliner base material.

You can strengthen it by applying fiberglass resin, and recover it with material from places like JoAnne's Fabrics. Run a search, there are threads that detail how to do this.

run yourself out to a fabric store, buy a headliner type material (it will be stretchable cloth on a 1/8" or so foam backing), you will need maybe a yard and a half or so, but make sure the width is the right amount as well. i told my mom the dimensions and she picked the right lenght etc. for the headilner. Get some 3M adhesive spray glue, and then go to work. peel off the old headliner, remove all the foam backing you can, and spray it down. lay the headliner board on the fabric, not vice versa, it will be much easier. i used binder clamps around the edges to keep them stuck down.

There is a company on eBay that sells them on the auction, but im sure you can also contact them directly to order a ABS fiberglass T-top headliner. I used to pay 150 bucks every year for a new or recovered headliner till I invested a few more extra bucks, now i haven't bought a headliner in 2 years
