Firebird Retracting headlights

Hey guys, Im trying to prove someone wrong. Could some of you help me out. I cant remember, what year did the retracting headlights start on the firebirds?

Transmission: 700R4

Axle/Gears: 3.23

1982.

From 67-81 they had normal headlights.

From 82-02 they have had the "flip up " style.
