Black............or factory??

Hey guys, I'm torn and wanted to see what other third gen nuts think about this. I have a 91' Forebird with the sport appearance package. The paint is starting to look its age and I'd like to get it painted. The color now is a metallic maroon color with a grey interior. I am going to put an ASCD ram air hood on it. I can't decide if I should repaint it it's original factory color and have some kind of real light grey stripes over the nostrils of the hood OR should I have the whole thing painted black?

I love black cars, but really love the factory color too! I don't know what to do, especially as I know that it will cost more to have the car painted a completely different color. Or will the metallic paint cost more than a striaght black??

What to do, what to do?????

I like the Maroon on Firebirds. And if you go black, you have to do door jams, also the engine bay would be a different color.

How about a compomise and go with the original color with black strips. You will get the best of both worlds.

The orginal color would look cool with outh the strips.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Maroon with a silver stripe would look best in my book.

Black hides the shadows reflected off of the scoop. I would say stick with the maroon it would look alot sharper and show more detail.
