I by no means consider myself rich, but I could easily be driving a late 80s vette, newer fourth gen (almost bought a 98 SS awhile back) or other types of sports car. I guess it all depends on if you consider rich to be 3 vipers and a 500 thousand dollar house rich, or if you mean you make enough to have a choice of what you'd like.
Btw, I'm only 18. So I'd put money on it that there are quite a few people who could afford much newer and faster cars than our thirdgens yet they choose these because of looks and many have just had a liking for them for along time.

Very nice color. I didn't realize it, it looks darker than my friends. He has a chevelle in that color. Good luck with the new paint, and be sure to take pictures, I like that color.
