Two questions....Zaino??...T-tops
Two questions....one about Zaino??...the other about t-tops
First off, what is Zaino? Some sort polish or something? Is it easy to apply and do I need a buffer? And, what's the big deal with it?
Secondly, my t-tops look like crap when you get up close. They're real rough when you rub your hand across it, and two, they look like they have scratches all over them. Not good! So how do I make them look good?? Is that just plain old tint that's on them that can be removed, or is it a dye of some sort?
I would appreciate any tips yall have for making them look good.
WHAT IS THE ZAINO STUFF EVERYBODY TALKS ABOUT!!!????
P.S.- where would I get some and for how much?

Zaino is a polish and can be purchased directly from www.zainobros.com
All the info you need is on that site. Check out the pics and you see what the big deal is. I bought mine this winter and it was about $85. I can't wait to use it, I'll have plenty of pics when I'm done.

Zaino is awesome. It comes in many different levels ranging from Pre-Cleaner to Swirl Remover to Show car Polish. I myself have used the precleaner (Polish Lok) and the Show car polish. Zaino is one of the easiest polish/wax's to apply and take off that I have ever tried. You do not need to use a buffer. I did mine all by hand.
You can find Zaino @ http://www.zainobros.com/
They come in 8 Fl Oz bottles and are roughly 12-15 dollars. Prices vary on each type.
I was very impressed with the results on my car. Zaino brought a nice shine, and deepened the red of my paint. (kinda hard to explain)
Here's a few pics just to show you what it can do ...
QUICK SHOT BEFORE
AND A SIMILAR ONE AFTER
HERE'S 2 MORE PICS, JUST CAUSE I LOVE HOW IT LOOKS...
AS U CAN SEE, I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND ZAINO. I HAVE MORE PICS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.

Zaino is mostly hype, but I know that and I still use it anyway...
On to your ttops... Chances are your ttops are lexan. Look for a sticker/lable that says lexmar or somethign similar. Also if they don't weigh a ton, they're lexan. If they're tinted really dark, they're lexan. If they're kinda half *** tinted and heavy, and have a mirrored surface on the inside, they're glass. Either way the tint can't be removed as its inside the glass/plastic. You can also tap on them with your knuckles to get a good idea if they're glass or plastic...
If they're lexan, there is nothing you can do about the scratches, thats what happens when lexan ages. The rough surface you may be able to remedy. Get a good non abrasive plastic polish and follow the instructions. If its still rough after that, get an abrasive rubbing compound and follow the instructions. Thats the best you can do.
If they're glass, polish them with 000 steel wool, and follow up with a glass cleaner and RainX. If that doesn't help, Eastwood and I'm sure other suppliers sell a glass polishing kit.
