Polishing Intake Manifold

I'm planning on polishing my Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold. I've doen the searches and read pretty much everything on the site I could find, but are there any hints that anyone can give me before I tackle the project?

You can search google.com for "polishing manifold" possibly throw the phrase tech tips in there. Well Alot of people here say they use fine grade sand paper to possibley wet sand it. I would try it on a area you cant see before you do that. I used a dremmel and some polishing cream to practice on a spare stock manifold. Heh I have small silver spots on it with the rest black.

I think he's talking about polishing the outside of the intake, and I must say I don't recommend it unless you have plenty of experience with polishing.

I'll post a picture of mine sometime, it didn't turn out to well, but then again, I'm not done either.

I'm talking about the outside for appearance. It looks pretty nasty right now anyway. The truck I got it off of had caught fire, and there are burn marks all over it. They aren't very deep, but I need to polish it to get them off anyway. Might as go all the way and make the whole thing shiny.
