Please Help Quick!!

i know this isnt for this board but this one gets visited the most..if i am correct a 86 z28 came stock with a 700R4...so i could just get a stock drive shaft and it would fit right b/c i still have the stock rearend...but i have a th350 with the long tail right nwo and it went out.. and a friend said he would sell me a 700r4 for only 100...but the drive shaft is cut for that long tail th350..so COULD i just use a stock drive shaft

I believe all you need is the driveshaft cut or a new one and the 700r4 as long as you still have all the linkages in tack from the old tranny...

shouldnt i just get one from a junk yard...since they came stock with that i wouldnt need to get one cut...just get one from the yard

well i just found a guy that said he would rebuild mine for $325 with the B&M shift kit. so i think i am just gonna go that route

Yeah, i would get the TH350 rebuilt just because it would be more reliable and hey brand new. But yeah, if you go with a 700r4 just go to the junkyard and get a driveshaft. But some guy is buying my caprice so you will have to look elsewhere...
