Here's a simple enough question... I've got a CD player with a blue display and I'd like to change out the orange lights in the instrument cluster for some blue ones... How hard would this be? Are the bulbs (LEDs?) a standard size that I could find in various colors, or would I have to solder in Blue high intensity LEDs?

Thanks

Once the cluster is removed, the bulbs are a simple screw in screw out, at least on Camaros. You can buy high-intensity xenon (ice blue or something to that effect) from McEwen. http://members.aol.com/rmacewen1/index.html

They dont really look blue though. If your looking for that indeglo look this wont be it. Try to imagine the instrament panel in black and white. The needles and all letters and numbers are white the rest is black, with little hints of blue.

Yeah, I'm slightly tempted by the bright light blue... I might settle for true red too, since blue goes well with red... a slightly purple blue would also be acceptable... are there any other known places to get this stuff?

Also, what do you guys think of the white face guage overlays? I assume it's not worth 70 bucks for professional ones when you could probably make a pretty good counterfeit... I guess I'll look on the board since that's been asked a billion times LOL.
