How lolng must I wait to wet sand my new paint?
I just got my transam painted, and I want to wet sand it and polish it. When is the best time to do so, right away, or should I wait a few days or weeks?
The car was finished april the 6th, and was painted with a dupont product (paint and clearcoat).Thanks.

I started on mine 2 days out of the booth with 1500 and one of those air powered wet sanders (type you can hook up a garden hose to) couple days of sanding and then a day of buffing... I let the paint vent for 2 months before doing a wax job. I'm sure if it was painted black, it'd be like a mirror hehe.

Yeah, you definately want to do it soon after being painted. If you wait long, the paint gets hard and this makes it more difficult to sand and buff out. I did mine the next day and it was so much easier than when I did my other Camaro like 6 months later. The fresh paint is a lot softer.
