Working on a complete 4 gen conversion

I have begun doing a complete 4th gen conversion. All interior front, back, door panels, dash and will have active air bags. It is getting the LT1 with 4L60E tranny. I am going to be trying to also put the rack and pinion in but still have to pull the motor later this week to see if that will work?
The entire car is getting the 4th gen wiring as well due to mine has been over hacked though the years with a hack job splice together from one year to another. It is amazing how close these cars match up when they are completly stripped to the shell.

I am also considering hooking up the ABS but haven't figured out what to do with the wheel sensors yet.

This is a very easy swap as far as wiring goes. The harnesses are broke down in 5 sets. You have the engine harness that is still on the engine (never took it off, just unpluged it from the 6 conectors from the underhood wireing harness) You have a underhood harness that is just for the engine bay., You have a interior harness, you have a door wiring harness and finally a tail light harness. These harness are complety separated and are only hooked to one another on a couple of connecters. I'm no wiring guy, so this just seems almost to simple. My biggest challenges so far have been the heater controls due to different vacuum conectors on the heater box connecters and now the windshield wiper motor, but if those are my only problem areas then this is one simple job other then just plain time consuming.

Newark ohio.

The rack n pinion might work but it is to wide. Will take some serious moding to mount and thorting of the shafts that bolt to the spindles. Will be thinking this over.
