Hey guys! Does anyone have any T-top latch parts laying around or know anywhere that I can buy them? Today I went to put the tops back on my 89 Formula 350 and the drivers front latch pin broke. I took it apart and there is a plastic tube housing with a spring and a metal retaining C-clip the plastic housing slides into the latch hole on the car itself. The plastic housing broke, and without that housing thereis so much play in the latch that I can pull the glass clear up off of the car. The dealership told me that all of the parts are discontinued including the assembly itself and that I should start scouring the junkyards, well all that they are going to want to do is sell me a whole new top and I don't want to do that for a little piece of plastic! Thanks alot for any help you guys may have!

 

go to a junk yard where you can go and get the parts off the cars. Take apart the t-top and get the peice you need. When you walk up there with a little plastic thing they will prob sell it to you for a quarter.

 

It isn't that, it's that all of the third-gens are so picked over around her that I can't find a top anywhere. I have been to nine yards and I've found zilch. thanks anyway though!
