What year "nose cones" interchange?

I ask becuase my brother's 85 Z-28 has a crunched beak. Nothing structural. Just the plastic nose, the driver's headlight assy. is crunhed and the driver's fender.

We don't care if it's exactly the right year, appearance-wise, just one that will bolt on and work. We're getting stuff out of a junkyard, not buying new parts.

i think all 82-92 noses are interchangable, but 82-84 looks different then 85-92 (there are 3 holes in it above the grill on the sc) and i believe that the gfx wont bolt up to it either.. i may be wrong on this part, but i THINK gfx wont bolt up to the 85-90 that did have gfx..

82-84
sc - 3 holes in nose w/o gfx
z - 3 holes in shortended gfx
berenlitta - ?? think same as z

85-90
sc - no gfx
iroc & z & rs - gfx <-- think thats what ur lookin for

91-92
all - gfx w/ air dams

The correct nose for your brother's Z28 would be one for a '85-'92 IROC, RS, or Z28 (and '88 SC).

The '82-'84 Z28s had a different nose and gfx. The '85-'90 IROC, Z28, and RS (and '88 SC) had the same nose and gfx as your brothers. The '91-'92 Z28 and RS had the same nose but different gfx. loomdog is correct, stock gfx will not bolt onto any SC nose (except '88). Any 3rdgen Camaro fender should work though you may have to drill some holes for mounting the gfx. I recently replaced the left fender on my '91 RS with a fender from '87 Z28. It fit perfectly, but I had to lengthen some holes for the '91 gfx to fit.
