what years had the regular straight across spoiler? the ones that don't curve around the hatch????? Anyone sell the straight spoiler in the aftermarket, or any cars in the junkyard i can snag one off of that will fit?

 

im not sure on that but i might be able to narrow it down for you,

The "aero wing" wraparound spoiler came on the Formulas 87-92(but it 91&92 they were a little more rounded off) and they came on the GTAs.

Hope that narrowed it down.

 

yeah, i have an 88 formula with the aero spoiler, i have a spare hatch w/ no spoiler and i want the straight spoiler, just wondering if the straight ones were plentiful in the junk heap

 

I have an extra stright one. Its red and in good shape. I replaced my wrap around one with a stright one. Looks good and its much cheaper than the wrap around ones. I your interested in my extra one let me know.

 

THe flat "wing" spoiler came from 82-84 on all T/A's, (optional for base firebird.
In 85 the optional aero wing appeared, and for 86 was standard for T/A's
87-90 the areo wing stayed with the T/A, GTA & the Formula, The base Firebird would have gotten the "wing" from 85-92, as I have never seen an 86-92 without the wing spoiler, I assume that it was standard.

the Aero Wing changed in 91-92, as it was more flat, and shorter in length.

so: wing spoiler was available all years firebird from 82-92
