radio problem

i just need to know how to get the faceplate off from around the stereo and air controls in my 99 firebird. sorry, no problem with the gta this time.

Well if it's anything like the camaro, there's 3 easy torq screws to remove. (2 on bottom, 1 on top right) Then to get the smaller left top screw, you need to lower or take off the panel directly underneath the steering column, and you'll then see the fourth screw. Once the screws are out, you will need to slide the radio cover to the right instead of pulling it straight out because there's a little hook on the left side, on the back.

I sure hope your car is similar to mine, otherwise I just typed this for nothing

Oh I explained it for a 91 Z28... might be different for your 99 firebird.... well I tried.

no screws to remove, radio plate will pry off with a flate blade butter knife. see also: http://www.ls1.com
