Has anyone ever tried relocating the gas filler neck inside their car? I was wondering if anyone out there has relocated the gas filler neck to the inside of the rear glovebox to give the car a "trick" look and shave the filler door for a much cleaner outside.

Thats why when I take the nozzle out, I always grab a piece of paper towel from the windshield washer bucket squeege things and drip on that. Yes, I'm too picky but oh well

I haven't done it personally but I've seen it done on some show trucks. They relocate the filler to the inside of the bed under the tonneau cover and shave the filler hole. Looks much smoother!! Wish I had some usefull info about the mod but honestly I dont ... I imagine it would be really hard to get behind the filler there but once you can access the nozzle, work down and cut it. Have someone at an exhaust shop custom bend a filler that ends on the inside like you want and have it welded back on. Something like that I think. Dont forget to run the car dry before welding lol

I've never heard of anyone putting the filler neck in the car or in the bed of a pick-up but I have seen people put them in the wheel well.

Yep, it's been done by one of the few female members on this board. Do a search on " redraif " user ID, or go to her homepage.
