racing wheels...

no place to post this, so here it is anyways...

WHY are racing wheels not reccomended for highyway use? I have trouble understanding this, because regular driving is
much less stressfull on wheels than racing. I'm particularly taking about bassett racing wheels, I've seen them,
they seem to be much stronger/thicker than "DOT approved" wheels. whats the big deal? what do you think of
these on an f-body? ---> http://www.pitstopusa.com/BAS15X8IMCAROLLEDWHEEL.asp

I think they would look pretty sweet, especially of you like classic, deep-dish wheels.

It'll handle all sorts of torque and hard turns fine. One pothole though and you're SOL! Those are designed for oval track racing, not bumps in the road.
