How do you remove the inside pillar post molding?

I am going to add a autometer gauge pod to my pillar post, but I can't figure out how to remove it.

I see one phillips screw up top, but that is it. I removed it, but it is still tightly held in place.

Thanks.

There are push-in plastic pieces that attach it. They fit into a slot molded into the back of the trim piece and push into a slot on hte metal of the A-pillar. New ones are available at the HELP section of most auto parts stores. GM sells them too. Lon

On a t-top car or convertible, remove the one screw, then pull up and out to the side. On coupes without t-tops you have more plastic clips to deal with at the ceiling. Those I had to pry free (and break) with a flat bladed screwdriver. I could only find those clips at the top through GM. Lon

Thanks. Pull to the center of the car, I guess. Will try it Friday.

Thanks.
