Should be the same thing-since the consoles are all the same. Are they at least from the same year car applications?

The shift boots are the same. Somewhere along the line GM has switched from genuine leather to simulated on the new ones. I swapped an older genuine leather one onto my new shift plate. I did have to slot the 4 holes slightly in the metal plate at the base of the boot. I suspect there has been a mold shift changing the location of the mont holes slightly.

sorry I been a way for a while it seems to sit at the base of the ball insted ond thight against the small rubber thing on that shaft. got a little better with the heat warming it up. It not to bad. It is a new one 87 + so it not real leather and they don't make the hard plasitc shiftball just the fake leather one.
