Taking the door panel off....

Ok,
I am replacing my drivers side window motor tomorrow,
does anyone have any tips for the procedure?
I would like to avoid breaking clips, or anything like that.

Should I do anything else while the door is apart?

Thanks.

i just pulled the damn thing off... don't really care 'cause im gonna be doing custom panels.

As far as replacing the window motor.. tip - DONT KNOCK OUT THOSE POPRIVITS THERE!!! gettin the regulator all back in place is a PITA ! (took me and a friend like 5 hours on his 94z28) just drill holes (yes right into the door panel, there is a tech article somewhere, it tells you where) where the regulator to motor screws/rivits are. from there its pretty much straightforeward, not that much of a biggie... just intimidating i guess

good luck

Clean and lube (with white grease) all window tracks and power locks. To eliminate window/door rattle, see my post on Windows/Doors--Observation and Pics.
