Ok, about two months ago a Ford F250 (Fords...grr...) merged into my lane and did $2500 worth of damage to my poor baby. And it ended up being a hit and run, so I have to do it all!
Anyhoo.
I purchased a brand new bumper from the junk yard and the guy claimed it would work on my car ('91 Z28), though it looked a little different with the racing vents. I'm pretty sure the bumper is for an '89, but my understanding is that a bumper is a bumper. Well, turns out that NO...it won't fit on there. Seems an inch or two too short, which surprised me. Also there isn't a place to attach ground fx.
Do the ground fx have to have some certain kind of custom bumper? And why does it seem too short? Am I totally missing something? After all, taking the whole front end of a car apart in 95 degree heat tends to fry one's brain.

 

umm sounds like he gave you a 82-84 Z28 front Bumper or a Base camaro Front bumper IF you could post a pic of the Bumper i can tell you what kind it is

 

I don't have a pic of mine specifically, but I found one on Ebay that was exactly like it. It claims it's for an 85-87.
