Power buldge hood, worth the effort? The price is right.

I found a power buldge hood at the pick/pull $24.99. Some one already removed the flap so its open. In order to use it Id have to paint it, Ive really got no problem painting it but does the hood work well enough to put the effort into it? Does it really function like a cowl hood? Does it add space under the hood, how much?
I cant even get back into the junk yard until the middle of next week, there closed for the holiday and the car wont be released from the hold lot until Thursday so in order to get the hood Id have to skip work and wait for the car to be released.

Dang for 25 bucks id get it..

Even if you dont use it im shure you could sell it for more than 25 bucks

as far as how much room it makes i think its like 1inch or only 1/2inch.... and thats only on the drive side of the hood

Gee, those hoods go for that much new and used! Too bad theres two other Fbirds sitting there also with this style hood already released. One was a burn down the other some jerks bent the hood out of shape to pull the engine.
I guess I'll be calling the yard non stop from tuesday until the car is released. Who knows if I bug em enough they might just let me get the hood anyway.

Thanks!
