Adding groud effects this weekend - any tips?
I have a whole set of ground effects that I will be putting on this weekend, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips/tricks. Right now I have all the side skirts sanded smooth and primed, and the bumpers are almost done. The front bumper is in poor condition, but I will probably still just prime it and put it on the car until i can find a good condition one. The only thing that really looks like a problem is going to be drilling the holes in the body for the side skirts. To anyone that has done this before, is there some sort of trick to making sure the holes are drilled in the correct spots?
When I put the side brackets on for the rear quarter panel ground fx I used nail polish on the metal bracket. Use the metal bracket, Line it up good and mark it with chalk or something so you get it lined up right. Then take some nail poilish and put a dab on the ends of the metal screws that go through the metal brackets. Line it up using your chalk line again and press the metal bracket against the body. Nail polish doesn't dry instantly so you'll be left with marks exactly where you need to drill holes.
