How to remove upper portion of rear seats?
Ok, I looked on the tech articles and searched the forum but I couldn't really find anything, and I didn't understand the tech article thing... Can anyone explain how to remove the upper portion(split rear part) of the rear seats? I can get the bottom out easy, but the top has got me stumped... any help???
Hg,
If you have the bottoms out, look at the BOTTOM of the seat backs that are still in the car towards the outside of the car. There you will see the hinge that pivots when you lay the seat down. You need a 13mm wrench to remove the nut that's on the bottom of that hinge mount. After you remove that nut, lay the seat back down, and pull on it towards the outside of the car. It should just pull loose from the center hinge bar. It may require a small amount of effort to remove, but it will come loose.
