what in the world is a sport coupe z28, i've never heard of such a thing. It's either a Z28 or its a SC. what year is the car and no sport coupes never had louvers. What year is your car?

I would think that was saying that was a "Sport Coupe, or a Z28", not a "Sport Coupe Z28"

If I remember correctly, when I ran my VIN for my Formula it said something like "1991 PONTIAC FORMULA/TRANS AM".

that pic is a standard sc...no hood louvers, gfx or badges. If you still arent sure check your RPO codes and look for the Z28.

The VIN decoder says this because the VIN prefix for both the Sport Coupe and Z28 are the same 1G1FP87. As opposed to 1G1FS87 for the Berlinetta.

The VIN prefix for both the Sport Coupe and Z28 are the same 1G1FP87.

This is the same when you go and look for the RS body style in some cases.
