Rims Need Cleaning

THe finish of the rims is very bad it is breaking down and it needs 2 be restored to its original. For the most part they to be cleaned what kind of cleaner would you guys recommend for restoration of the Rims. which will bring back close to 100% finish of the rims.

If it's breaking down the way I'm thinking, there really isn't a way to 100% bring it back. If the clear is turned yellow or cracking, you're best bet would be removing the clear, and polishing. There are some good threads about polishing rims by doing a search. I polished mine on my 92 and I'm completely satisfied with the results I got. It was alot of work, but well worth it.

im in the process of refinishing my rims right now, it takes a long time..i took them off the car and got them cleaned up with a wire wheel then the inserts that were painted from the factory i primered and painted gunmetal grey, then around the edges and on the spokes i polished them with rubbing comound...still needs some touch up work but looks a whole lot better.....takes about 8-10 hrs a wheel if you take your time like i did..

Rim cleaning

Just get some kind of all purpose Rim Cleaner and Just SCrub SCrub and scrub till its clean then use some kind of Finisher ...
