WTF stupid shift ****

aight, i have an 88 iroc z28, wtih the leather coverd shift ***, automatic, why CANT I GET THE SHIFT **** OFF!!?!?!?! ITS GETTING ME MAD, i know u take off the lil button, and then what? its makin me feel stupid lol, any help woudl be apreciated

Well in firebird theres a pin on the side (toward the radio) pull that out with needle nose pliers then pull the **** off

for the ebrake there is a screw in the side (facing console) phillips head take that out and pull.

You have to push the **** down first. Then take off the button and take off the c-clip that keeps the **** from flying off. Then it slides up and off.
