Hey, I've been unable to access the boards for about two years. There used to be a product available to repair the pop up headlight on Firebirds. I think it was about $20.00 per side. It would only work if the motors were still turning. Does anyone know about this? It's good to be back. I'll have to look around and see what the burning issues are. My '89 Formula just turned over 200K, has a little valve guide smoke at startup, everything works except the headlight issue related above and I just noticed a post on the power locks that I need to work on.

Welcome back. I've already e-mailed you my Price List. I make the kits you are looking for. I have two versions:

TDS p/n 207280 consists of 3 precision-machined, close-tolerance Delrin bushings and two zinc plated washer head screws and nuts (the ones that mount the cover often snap off on removal). TDS p/n 208280 also includes the side cover and motor cover gaskets (since these can tear on removal). Both kits also include a 4 page detailed instruction sheet on repairing these 1987-92 Firebird headlight units.

Let me know which kit you'd prefer. I am currently running a Special. If two of either kit is ordered I include a free 1.5 oz tube of the Permatex WL-9 white lithium grease that I normally sell for $2.50.

Please e-mail me at: topdownsolutions@yahoo.com if you need a Price List.

Thanks,

Lon Salgren
