How hard is it to install some different gauges on
my Z28? I like the ones offered by hawks, and will probablly go with those. The old ones are worn and faded and I just want to know how big of a project i might be getting into.
Thanks, Randy

go with macewen; he is extremely helpful. the guages are excellent quality and look like they belong which is a definate plus!
i wouldn't tackle the project though unless you have some installation knowledge, the biggest problem is getting the steering wheel off. the airbag makes it difficult. besides that everything comes apart easily.........oh yeah you also have to remove the headlight switch which is tricky. those are the two worst parts though.
relatively easy; took me a total of 3 hours only because i took my time very very slowly.
here's how they look in my 91!

Had to show off that you're in a magazine huh
You don't have to remove the steering wheel. When I put white faced gauges on my 92 RS, I just removed the cluster. It was a pain in the ***, but it fit if you turn it at the right angle.
Anyway, as for the gauges, I would also go with MacEwen. Check out www.macewen.net for more info.

no i just don't have any interior shots........
i want a digital camera so much, everytime i go to buy one i stop at the performance shop and spend my money elsewhere.
the magazine was septembers issue of worldwide camaro... i don't think you can pick it up at stands any more.
check out www.worldwidecamaro.com i'm sure you can get a back order for a few dollars and some change.
