TA bumper cover questions........

Where can i find a fiberglass bumper cover for an '85-'90 trans am/GTA? I've done a search and none of the links have got me anything. It had a scrape on the corner when i bought this car. The paint is now chipping and peeling bad at that spot down to the rubber. I don't feel like wasting all my time stripping the whole bumper down and i don't feel like getting another rubber bumper if the paint is going to do this again. Let's say i get another rubber bumper. Are there are any paints and primers that are flexible and won't crack when the rubber flexes?

Thanks a lot

It's possible your bumper cover is a repaint and that it wasn't prepped right.

There is a system to go through to paint the plastic flexible parts. I posted a link to a web page that details the steps in a very similar post yesterday.

Basically, you have to prime the part with a plastic primer, and then add flex agent to the primer/sealer and clear coat (none to the base coat for the paint system I use).
