Sylvania Silver-Star headlights

I had to replace my hi-beams recently so I tried these things. Pricey. BUT... they do appear to be brighter, things seem to be more natural looking due to the whiter light, and they don't look like they're just hokey blue tinted. They also seem to focus the light in a more concentrated manner dead ahead.

For the low beams I'm just running Xtra-Visions, but after seeing how the Silver-Stars perform, I'm kinda curious. Anybody else tried these things?

My friend has them on his 82 T/A. Looks good. I'll probably upgrade to them as well. I am running the Sylvania Cool Blue lights now.

It's kinda funny. Last week we had a debate about these headlights. Someone kept saying that they don't make them for our cars, even though I saw them on my friends 82 as well as in the store when I went to buy some oil.

I drive the 82 mentioned above. Since putting Silverstars on I have been preaching their virtues in every headlight post I see (so has zeph, seeing is believing).. with cars as fast as ours we shouldn't have to play blind-mans-bluff with our stock lights, now with these lights we don't have to. Worth the money just for the safety, unless you go HID I really don't think it gets any better, I was shocked at the improvement.

Do you think the difference between the 'Cool Blue' lights and the SilverStars is worth the extra money? I have the cool blues right now, but I finally saw the silverstars at the local autozone, just got them maybe a couple weeks ago, didn't have a price either...

What's the watt rating on those sylvania lights?

I saw some Xenon bulbs with a 100watt rating compared to the stock 65 watts.....

Stock wattage but more light output from more efficeint filaments, maybe. They cost around $26 each for the 82-90 Firebird lights, not sure what the camaro size or the 91-92 Birds cost.
