My 88 camaro came out with a 2.8 L v-6, somewhere along the lines it had that engine pulled out and a 1971 350 put in it along with a HEI dist in the 350.

I'm pretty sure to make the tach in the gauge cluster read the right rpm I need to re-cal it because a v-6 tach will show more than the v-8 engine is really turning right?

Do any of yall know how to re-cal the tach for a v-8?

Thanks
John

BTW I can't give yall any rpm readings as the tach wasnt hooked up when I bought the car and I seen no need to hook it up knowing it will read wrong

Thank's scott... I guess if I can't find the info out on re-cal of the tach, i'll just pull one from a v-8 car at the junkyard

The reason I asked about re-cal is see i'm kinda into diff car combo's. I done alot of searching in past years on v-8 engine swaps into rx-7's, dastun z cars, etc and on them I know you can re call the tach by turning some kind of pod adjustment then do something other to it too, but aint never heard no body talking about a camaro tach
