hey reid u can fix that bumper man. when i tanked some old ladys car i cracked my bumper. i got a new one but i fixed the other one for my 88. its an easy fix. just tedious to get the surface perfectly smooth for primer and paint
yes u can fix the cover, take it off the car put a bead of a product called panel bond on each side of the crackand fiberglass it from behind to reinforce the crack(use the fiberglass mesh and resign system)then wipe off the excess panel bond from the front of the bumper and let it set up a few hours..then use a product called duraglass on the front of the bumper(its like bondo only stronger)sand that smooth then u can put a skim coat of half lite(light weight body filler)and finish sand that after u prime it then speckle spray som flat blk paint on the area this will help u find low or high spots when u do the final block sanding on the bumper(if u leave any black specks u have a low spot there,,if u take it off in one area u have a high spot)after that u will be ready for paint,,,mike P.S. when u do the speck;e paint u will be wet sanding the bumper about 500 grit paper,,hope this helps
