who can make new seat covers from old?
Hey everyone....
I got lucky or just think I did. I have purchased from u-pull it 2 pairs of recaro seats
of course they are trashed, but all the stuff is thier. Does anyone know who can sew replacement covers for me? I thought of contacting someone like mike's leather to see if hel'l do it. I have the seats apart and have good templates to sew from. Shops here in n.ca, want approx. $650.00 per pair to sew out of cloth; this is out of the question.
I would like to find someone online and just send them the old material templates and recieve the new covers.:lala: The seats came out of a 79 trans am and the second pair nabbed this week came from a 15th anniversary 1984 trans am [damn beutiful car when new] I am going back today to see if the 15th anniv. back seat is worth grabbing.
thanks everyone.

I might be able to help you out but it won't be for a couple of months most likely because i don't think i have will the supplies to do it for awhile. The industry usually charges 12 hours for a pair of buckets, plus extra for headrests or armrests. Depending on the type/quality of cloth you use it would probably cost around $150-200 in materials. So sounds like there they are charging about $35 per hour or so, which you probably won't be able to find any better around there. I could do it for you if you could wait a few months. Email me if your really interested and maybe we could work something out. Also it would be better if you only tore apart one of the seats for a pattern and then had the second cover for reference, just so you know.
