Decklid seal
Ok i found the problem to my leak in the hatch .. it was that seal in between the decklid and the hatch glass. So i took the decklid off and totally removed that seal and repainted the bottom of the decklid , cleaned up the glass and i am now ready to put the decklid back on heres my question...
What can i use for that seal..? i dont have much money but i do have some caulks hanging around..
What was that seal to begin w/ im guessing just a bead of silicone... if thats the case i have a tube of black silicone will that work?
and what side do i apply it to , the glass or the decklid..?
Thanks
I might have to do the whole process of putting the decklid back on alone... and pointers on this besides get some friends ...? I took the whole thing off by myself (One arm unbolts the other holds the glass) but i figure if i lay it down w/ the glass down crawl in and bolt everty thing up tight the lift and finish that would work best

I used some clear caulking, I put a thick bead on the decklid and reattached it to the hatch. I poured water all over to see if it would leak, and it seemed to hold up great. Now I have another deck lid I'm using, so I'll have to seal it again! Good luck.
