I did this over the weekend. When I bought the car it was missing a T-Top (hello discount ) so I got one from a parts place. The damn thing rattled around and leaked so I finally got a new one.

Simply take the T-Top out and lay it on a flat surface (put a towel or something down, don't go a fudge the thing up!). There are 3 screws in the black plastic, and one torque screw on the latch itself. Take them out, pull the latch off, then pull the plastic off. Inside you'll find the locking mechanism. There are a few washers and some clips that you have to remove (can't remember what exactly, but you'll figure it out, it's not very hard). Just take the cylinder out and put the old one (for which you have a key) in it's place. Then just put everything back in the way it came out.

Enjoy the T-Top.

Yeah, I did this, the ones without the lock mechanism seem to be set up for locks... I had a top that needed locks, I went to the junkyard and got myself a top with a lock, but no glass, for $5 and put a lock in mine. and I got the plastic cover piece too...
