I have a chance to buy a 95 formula that has had an engine fire. The hot spot was the drivers side head light fender well. It burned all of the wiring under the hood and from what I can tell messed up the throttle body and intake. The valve cover gaskets aren't melted so I think that the alumnium heads are not hurt. Also the car is a 6 speed and has a posi disc brake rearend. The factory rims are on it and the tires have about 60% of the tread left on them. The car is black and is a nont-top car. The only real damage to the body is the hood, windshield, driver side headlight cover and fender. The nose looks to be unaffected by the fire as well as the dash on the inside.
The fella has offered it to me for $1500. I think if I offer him cash I could get it for less. I am wondering if it is worth fixing or parting out.
If I buy it the paint job on my 88 IROC would be put on hold for a while until I scrounge up the money to get it painted.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance :hail:

just the tranny and rear end are worth that, assuming there aren't 1,000,000 miles on it. I would definately buy it

Just what everyone else is saying, get it brother!
The T56's go for around $1800 with about 30k miles and the rearend is at least $300. Heads, block, cam, GET IT! If you dont I will

Sounds like a good deal, especially since you can probably get it for less with cash.

I think its a great deal. I would do it if it was offered to me. You have a PM about some interior pieces.
