i can not get my stupid rear hatch to line up right. i adjusted the hinges all the way one way and that it still isnt enough to make the hatch line up. Is there some other trick, or do I have a messed up hatch?

The hinges arent your problem. Its the deck lid its self, over time things loosen up and the deck lid gets outta alignment. Here is a link to the tech articles on how to fix your alignment prob https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...tchalign.shtml It came in reall handy when I painted my car, our hatches are outta alignment about the same except mine was equal on both sides. And plus this is a good time to replace the weatherstripping, and silicone that goes inbetween the hatch glass and decklid.
