cowl hood

Has anybody had any experience with products from this company www.up22.com ? I am interested in their 2 1/4 in. latching cowl hood p/n c-491. It looks like a quality piece but you never know. I have heard many bad comments about Harwood hoods not fitting right and reqiering sanding. So how about this hood? The price is a lot more apealing than Harwood.

I have not dealt with them, but $295.00 for a cowl sounds pretty good. And only $65.00 to ship to me. I just might have to order one soon.

If anyone has dealt with this company, please post so we can get an idea of how well these hoods are built.

i have the hood you are talking about. this is what i have to say about them.

the design of their hood in my opinion is the best. they look absoluty amazing.

now on the other hand you have to be willing to fork over another $300 to get the hood to look good. for example, when my hood arrived, there was a crack at the from of it and there was a chunk of the corner missing. i have a friend that works a body shop and he hooked my up real nice there. if you plan on getting this hood, be prpared to spend another $300-400 to get it to look good. oh yeah, even w/ the latch you will need to get hood pins. the reason being, is that when you are doing oner40 mph you can see the hood shake like crazy.

I have heard of this problem. Willie, from the History board, put some velcro on the top of the headlight support, and on the hood to match. It solved that problem, so that is no big deal. I do think that hood pins look awesome. I would most likely go with them.
