help!t-top leak

Every time it seems to rain here in good ol' florida, my right and left door panel are leaking. I THINK it is because of the weather strips on the t-top..i didn't think it was too bad until the black cloth that covers the roof of the interior above the back seat passengers started looking like my grandma(lots of wrinkles) Water is now leaking through the cloth. Can anybody suggest a cheap way to fix this please!!! thanks

i know your new and all dude and im sure you have heard the search refferences but you can also read the tech articles on this....the cheapest way to fixit is to remove the t-top and use silicone culk around the seals then put the t-top on.

Search is currently disabled... you are going to have to refurbish/reseal your t-tops.... there's an article under articles on the main site.

do you have to take the stripping off, or could you just add it around the stripping or something? How permanent is silicone? My tops leak, and I'm waiting on a promotion to start fixing up my car, and for now, I'm just ghetto rigging stuff so it looks halfway decent. The stripping looks pretty brittle in some areas, and I really don't wanna mess with trying to take it aff and put it back on again because if I mess it up, I don't have the money to replace it.

i think you can just put silicon on the areas that dont have the stripping and it should be fine that way you aret destroying the old stripping and still sealing. its really easy to take off dont worry about a residue.
